The 2025 season for the Rockwood Summit Falcons boys soccer team was a journey filled with determination, skill, and moments that kept fans on the edge of their seats. As someone who closely followed the team throughout the year, I want to share a detailed look at their performance, key players, and what made this season memorable. From the goalkeepers guarding the net to the forwards scoring crucial points, the Falcons showed resilience and teamwork that defined their season.

Goalkeeping: The Last Line of Defense

The Falcons’ goalkeepers played a vital role in the team’s overall performance. Braeden Boeger was the primary goalie, logging an impressive 1,738 minutes on the field. His record of 13 wins and 10 losses, with no ties, reflects a solid presence between the posts. Boeger managed six shutouts, all solo, and maintained a goals-against average of 1.66. His save percentage stood at 0.757, meaning he saved nearly three-quarters of the shots he faced. This level of consistency gave the Falcons confidence to push forward knowing their net was well protected.

Matthew Slowick also contributed, though in a much smaller role, playing 30 minutes with two shutouts shared with teammates. His perfect save percentage of 1.000, albeit in limited time, showed promise for future seasons.

Offensive Powerhouse: Scoring and Assists

The Falcons’ offense was a dynamic mix of players who contributed in various ways. Nick Nusser led the team with 32 points, coming from 11 goals and 10 assists. His ability to both score and set up teammates made him a key player in the Falcons’ attack.

Chase Parmer was another standout, topping the points chart with 35, thanks to 13 goals and 9 assists. Parmer’s five game-winning goals highlight his knack for stepping up when it mattered most. His presence on the field was a constant threat to opponents.

Other notable contributors included:

  • Cade Polsak with 14 points (5 goals, 4 assists)

  • AJ Tuohy with 13 points (5 goals, 3 assists)

  • Jack Steele with 12 points (5 goals, 2 assists)

  • Gavin Werner with 11 points (4 goals, 3 assists)

The midfield and forwards worked seamlessly to create scoring opportunities, with Harper Edwards and Quinn Larocque each adding nine points and crucial game-winning goals.

Team Dynamics and Play Style

The Falcons demonstrated a balanced approach to the game. Their defense, anchored by Boeger’s goalkeeping, was disciplined and focused on limiting opponents’ chances. Offensively, the team relied on quick passes, smart positioning, and a willingness to take shots when the opportunity arose.

One of the strengths of the Falcons was their ability to distribute scoring across multiple players. This made it difficult for opposing teams to focus their defense on just one or two threats. The team’s chemistry was evident in the assist numbers, showing a willingness to work together rather than rely on individual brilliance.

Key Moments of the Season

Several matches stood out as defining moments for the Falcons. Their ability to secure five game-winning goals from Chase Parmer alone speaks to their clutch performance in tight games. The team’s resilience was tested in matches where they faced strong opponents but managed to come out on top thanks to solid defense and timely goals.

Braeden Boeger’s six solo shutouts were also highlights, showcasing games where the Falcons kept opponents scoreless, giving the offense a clean slate to work with.

Looking Ahead

The 2025 season set a strong foundation for the Falcons’ future. With key players like Nusser, Parmer, and Boeger gaining valuable experience, the team is poised to build on this success. The blend of scoring talent and defensive reliability will be crucial as they aim for even greater achievements in the coming years.

For fans and supporters, this season was a reminder of what dedication and teamwork can accomplish. The Falcons soared high, and their journey is far from over.
