The 2025 season for Chaminade College Preparatory School boys' soccer was defined by consistency, depth, and an ability to win in multiple ways. From early road tests to a demanding October slate, Chaminade put together one of the strongest overall resumes in the St. Louis area, finishing 19–6–2 against a schedule loaded with state-level competition.

Strong Start and Early Statement Wins

Chaminade wasted no time showing its quality. The season opened with a road 2–1 win at SLUH, setting the tone for a year built on composure and discipline. A 1–1 draw at Clayton followed, before back-to-back home wins over Kirkwood (1–0) and CBC (2–1) pushed the record to 3–0–1.

Even early adversity didn’t derail the momentum. A narrow loss to Summit was answered immediately with a convincing 3–0 road win at Parkway Central, reinforcing the team’s ability to bounce back and control matches.

Midwest Test and September Run

A mid-September trip to Illinois tested Chaminade against top out-of-state opponents. A 2–2 draw with Naperville North and a loss to Morton Cicero added valuable experience before the Red Devils surged again.

What followed was one of the most impressive stretches of the season:

  • 1–0 win at Nixa

  • 5–0 win at Kickapoo

  • 2–0 win at Ozark

That three-match run pushed Chaminade to 8–2–2 and highlighted a defense that was increasingly difficult to break down.

October Consistency and Depth

October showcased Chaminade at its most complete. Wins over Fort Zumwalt South (4–1), Parkway South (3–0), Vianney (1–0), St. James Academy (2–0), and Mehlville (4–0) demonstrated both attacking depth and tactical flexibility.

Late-season victories against Lindbergh and Priory, both by 2–0 scorelines, further emphasized how comfortable Chaminade was closing out games.

A dominant 8–0 win over Whitfield in early November underlined the squad’s attacking ceiling, while a 1–0 win over Parkway Central capped a postseason push that brought the record to 19–5–2 before the final match.

Defensive Backbone in Goal

The foundation of the season was built in goal, led by Alex Stadnyk, who logged 1,493 minutes with a 15–2–2 record, 11 shutouts, and a 0.80 goals-against average. His command and consistency anchored a defense that repeatedly delivered clean sheets against top opponents.

Support came from Chase Kendall and Steven Williams, who both stepped in effectively when called upon, combining for 5 shutouts in limited minutes.

Attacking Leaders and Balance

Chaminade’s offense thrived on balance rather than reliance on a single player.

  • Freddy Tate led the way with 16 goals and 6 assists (38 points), scoring 7 game-winning goals and consistently delivering in big moments.

  • Ethan Kim added 6 goals and 4 assists, including 3 game-winners, providing speed and creativity.

  • Holden Radefeld (3 goals, 7 assists) and Nolan Gladson (5 goals, 3 assists) helped control the midfield and link play.

  • Contributions throughout the lineup—from defenders to substitutes—made Chaminade difficult to match up against.

Season Takeaway

The 2025 Chaminade boys' soccer team blended elite goalkeeping, disciplined defending, and a multi-dimensional attack into a complete season. Finishing 19–6–2 against one of the toughest schedules in Missouri, Chaminade proved it could win tight matches, dominate when opportunities arose, and compete at a championship level throughout the fall.
