Final Record: 14–8–1
The 2025 season was another strong and demanding campaign for the CBC Cadets, who once again navigated one of the toughest schedules in Missouri high school soccer. With consistent results against elite opponents, CBC combined defensive discipline, balanced scoring, and postseason experience to put together a successful year.
Fast Start Sets the Tone
CBC opened the season with back-to-back wins over Summit and Lindbergh, immediately establishing defensive solidity with two one-goal victories. Early road tests followed, including a narrow loss at Chaminade, but the Cadets responded with authority—most notably a dominant 5–0 win at Collinsville.
Although CBC hit a brief mid-September skid with losses to Ladue and SLUH, the team remained competitive in every match, often facing top-ranked programs under difficult road conditions.
Midseason Consistency Against Elite Competition
As league play intensified, CBC found its rhythm. Wins over De Smet, Priory, and Francis Howell Central highlighted the Cadets’ ability to control games against high-level opposition. A 4–0 shutout at Priory stood out as one of the most complete performances of the season, combining defensive organization with clinical finishing.
The Cadets closed September battling through close losses to Fort Zumwalt West and Kirkwood, but those setbacks proved to be turning points rather than momentum killers.
Strong October Push
October became CBC’s most productive stretch. The Cadets earned road wins at De Smet, Edwardsville, and Eureka—each by narrow margins that showcased composure in tight matches. Offensive confidence grew as CBC strung together wins, including emphatic victories over Sacred Heart-Griffin (5–0) and Francis Howell North (5–2).
That stretch solidified CBC as one of the area’s most reliable teams heading into postseason play.
Balanced Attack Leads the Way
CBC’s offensive success came through depth rather than reliance on a single scorer.
Stevie Jones led the team with 9 goals and 21 points, consistently creating chances and delivering in decisive moments with 5 game-winning goals.
Will Sharamitaro added a major scoring punch with 6 goals and 14 points, providing a steady threat in the attacking third.
Connor Kamps, Jude Leicht, and Ethan Norkatis each contributed timely goals, especially during CBC’s October surge.
Playmakers like Lucas Sharamitaro, Evan Mueller, and Frankie Eilerman helped maintain balance with assists and off-ball movement.
This depth made CBC difficult to defend, as scoring threats emerged from multiple positions.
Goalkeeping Anchors the Defense
CBC relied on strong goalkeeping throughout the season.
Stone DeGreeff logged over 1,100 minutes, earning 9 wins and recording 4 shutouts, often delivering key saves in close contests.
Jack Voland provided excellent support, posting a 0.99 goals-against average with 3 shutouts, helping CBC rotate effectively during a packed schedule.
Together, the Cadets’ goalkeepers ensured stability even against high-powered offenses.
Postseason and Final Thoughts
CBC entered the postseason with confidence and advanced with a convincing 4–0 win over Ritenour, before falling in a competitive matchup against Francis Howell Central. The final result did not diminish what was another strong season built on consistency, depth, and high-level competition.
Season Takeaway
The 2025 CBC Cadets once again proved why they remain a perennial contender. With a 14-win season, multiple marquee victories, and contributions across the roster, CBC showed resilience and maturity against one of the toughest schedules in the region. Their ability to respond after setbacks and perform in big moments defined the year.
