The SLUH Jr. Bills once again proved why they remain one of the most respected programs in Missouri high school soccer. Built on elite goalkeeping, disciplined defending, and balanced scoring across the lineup, SLUH put together a season that reflected consistency, composure, and championship-level standards.
While the season ultimately ended short of the program’s ultimate goal, the Jr. Bills’ performance across all phases of the game highlighted a roster loaded with quality and depth.
Elite Goalkeeping Sets the Tone
SLUH’s defensive success began in goal, where the Jr. Bills featured one of the strongest goalkeeper rotations in the area.
Cole Chambers anchored the position with 1,370 minutes, posting a 14-1-2 record, 13 shutouts, and an outstanding 0.41 goals-against average. He recorded 84 saves with a .923 save percentage, consistently shutting down high-level opponents.
Brennan McCool was equally impressive in his appearances, allowing just 1 goal in 430 minutes, finishing with a 0.19 GAA, 4 shutouts, and a .958 save percentage.
Noah Brockland contributed valuable minutes as well, recording 2 shared shutouts and providing reliable depth in net.
This trio helped make SLUH one of the most difficult teams to score against throughout the season.
Offensive Balance Across the Front Line
Rather than relying on a single scorer, SLUH’s attack was defined by production from multiple positions, forcing defenses to account for threats across the field.
Paddy Byrne led the team with 14 goals, including 6 game-winning goals, finishing with 29 points and consistently delivering in decisive moments.
Henry Sanders matched Byrne with 29 points, scoring 9 goals and adding 11 assists, serving as a key playmaker in the midfield.
Gabe Khazen added 11 goals and 5 assists (27 points), providing pace and finishing ability on the wing.
Javi Vigil contributed 9 goals and 5 assists, giving SLUH another reliable attacking option.
